D.O Navarra
Navarra is a Spanish designation of origin for wines from the Autonomous Community of Navarre . The wine-growing area extends from the south of the capital of the community, Pamplona , to the Ebro river basin . Among the wines with a designation of origin, Navarrese wines are an example of how the sector has evolved in recent times. Navarra, a traditional producer of red, rosé and white wines, was known almost exclusively for its rosé wines. This situation has changed and it is now known for its wide range of products, including Pago wines (DOPago), the highest recognition of quality for a wine in Spain.
Established in 1933, the Navarra Designation of Origin did not publish its first regulations until 1967. The Navarra protected designation of origin obtained its registration with the European Union on June 13, 1986. It has also been registered with the World Intellectual Property Organization since June 22, 2021
