Kasteel Cuvee du Chateau is a Belgian Strong Ale style beer produced by the Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck brewery in Belgium. This beer was created by the brewery's master brewer, Xavier Van Honsebrouck, who sought to create a beer that could be stored and aged like a fine wine.

Kasteel Cuvee du Chateau is a Belgian Strong Ale style beer, a variant of the Belgian Dubbel that is characterized by its high alcohol content and its aromatic and flavor complexity. This beer is produced from Kasteel Donker beer and is matured in French oak barrels for a minimum of three months before being bottled.

Kasteel Cuvee du Chateau has a dark brown colour with reddish highlights and a creamy beige foam. On the nose, notes of dried fruit, caramel, vanilla, spices and wood stand out. On the palate, it is a complex and balanced beer with a sweet flavour of roasted malts, dark fruits and a touch of acidity that makes it very pleasant on the palate. It has an alcohol content of 11%, an IBU of 20 and an EBC of 99.

This beer is perfect to be enjoyed in a tulip glass at a temperature of between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius. It is an ideal beer to pair with strong cheeses, red meats, stews and game dishes.

Kasteel Cuvee du Chateau has been awarded several international prizes, including a gold medal in the Belgian Style Strong Ale category at the 2010 World Beer Cup and a silver medal in the Belgian-Style Dubbel category at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival.

The beer is aged in oak barrels that previously held French Bordeaux wine, which gives the beer additional complexity.

The Kasteel Cuvee du Chateau is a beer that ages very well, improving its flavour and aroma over time. It can be stored in a cool, dark place for several years. In addition, it is a beer that is best served in a snifter glass, allowing its dark colour and complex aromas to be appreciated.
